Tristian Renatus

Born to the head of the Renatus family, Tristian was always bound for a harder life than most due to the family's long history of being able to see and interact with spirits of various types. From a very young age, he was trained along with other family members his age in the art of summoning and conversing with spirits. However, unlike most born to the Renatus family, Tristian was never able to see his summons or the spirits that existed around him. Compared to his step-brother, Gideon, who was considered a prodigy even amongst those who came before him, Tristian constantly forced himself to keep up with his older brother.

When the two were older, Tristian finally began to receive the recognition for his hard-earned skills to the ire of his brother. Thus a rivalry of sorts began which at first, seemed to be harmless, eventually spiraled into dangerous waters as Gideon, feeling threatened by the ever growing talents of someone who was once considered to be a failure, began to converse with spirits that promised power to the young man. While Tristian rarely speaks about what happened on that fateful night, he surely no longer sees Gideon as a brother. After being named the next head of the family due to Gideon's disappearance, Tristian has taken the responsibility to heart and left home in order to learn more about the world and those who reside on it. However, Tristian knows that one day that night will catch up with him no matter where he might travel to.
